President Ibrahima Boubcar Keita told IBK and his main opponent, Soumaila Cissé, will face each other on August 12th in a second electric trick.

The current tenant of the Koulouba Palace, credited with 41% of votes in the first round, did not have enough votes to realize the famous “a KO tour”. Having arrived second with 17% of the vote, Soumaila Cissé will probably be able to count on the voting instructions of the businessman Aliou Boubacar Diallo, who came third with 7.95% of the vote, a hair of Cheikh Modibo Diarra (7, 46%) of votes.

Observers expect the former NASA executive to join the outgoing president’s camp. Behind the quartet, the rest of the candidates share only 25% of the votes. These leaders will have their say in pronouncing for status quo or alternation.
